Discover AOC Côtes de Toul wines and taste the difference!A small appellation in terms of surface area, but big in terms of color. Grey, red and white wines, the vineyard has tremendous assets to make the 3 essential grape varieties express themselves like you've never drunk them before: Gamay, Pinot Noir and Auxerrois.
Spread over 8 villages west of Toul (Lucey, Bruley, Domgermain, Charmes la Côte, Bulligny, Mont le Vignoble, Blénod-les-Toul and Pagney-derrière-Barrine) the Côtes de Toul vineyard, which rises to 270m, stretches for 20 km along a North-South axis.
Orienting to the east and south and overlooking the Moselle, the Côtes de Toul are protected from the prevailing westerly winds. The hillsides are composed of soils derived from Oxfordian clays mixed with ancient alluvium with notable amounts of limestone scree.
A unique wine to discover: Gris de Toul
A unique wine to discover: Gris de ToulWith its shimmering salmon color and crystal-clear pink robe, Gris des Côtes de Toul is undoubtedly the best-known wine from Lorraine. Made from Gamay (85% maximum), Pinot Noir (10% minimum) and Auxerrois (5%) grapes using the direct pressing technique, their distinctive, fine rose-petal color is achieved by a light diffusion of pigments from the grapes. Their fruity, expressive nose develops aromas of flowers and red berries. With a mouth-filling freshness and remarkable aromatic persistence, these are wines that can be enjoyed young from the first years after harvesting, proving to be real enchanters of summer meals.
