VILLA MAJORELLE
Louis Majorelle, cabinet-maker, ornamental metalworker, industrialist and leading light of the Ecole de Nancy movement (Modern Style), was the first to commission an Art nouveau villa from the Parisian architect Henri Sauvage. This house serves as a veritable catalogue of the architectural style of the Ecole de Nancy. Not to be missed!
The villa belongs to the Ecole de Nancy Museum and is located nearby. The interior is being renovated and therefore closed until 2020. But the renovated exterior can be viewed from the street.
