AOC CÔTES DE TOUL
Discover AOC Côtes de Toul wines and taste the difference!
A small appellation in its area but large in its colors. Gray, red and white wines, the vineyard has tremendous assets to express the 3 essential grape varieties as you have never drunk them: Gamay, Pinot Noir and Auxerrois.
Spread over 8 villages to the west of Toul (Lucey, Bruley, Domgermain, Charmes la Côte, Bulligny, Mont le Vignoble, Blénod-les-Toul and Pagney-derrière-Barrine) the Côtes de Toul vineyard, which culminates at 270m, extends over 20 km long around a North-South axis.
Facing east and south and overlooking the Moselle, the Côtes de Toul are protected from the prevailing westerly winds. The hillsides are made up of land derived from Oxfordian clays mixed with old alluvium with a significant amount of limestone scree.
A unique wine to discover: Gris de Toul
With their shimmering salmon color and a crystalline and limpid pink robe, the Gris des Côtes de Toul are undoubtedly the best known wines of the Lorraine region. Produced from Gamay (85% maximum), Pinot Noir (10% minimum) and Auxerrois (5%) grape varieties using the direct pressing technique, the fine rose petal coloring, so unique, is obtained thanks to a slight diffusion of the grape seed pigments. Their fruity and expressive nose develops aromas of flowers and small red fruits. With a delectable mouth full of freshness and a remarkable aromatic persistence, these are wines which can be tasted young from the first years following the harvest and which prove to be true enchanters for summer meals.
