CHAMPIGNEULLES TOURIST TRAIL BETWEEN HISTORY AND NATURE
CHAMPIGNEULLES TOURIST TRAIL BETWEEN HISTORY AND NATURE
Born from the ashes of a small medieval hamlet, the town of Champigneulles takes its name from the word Campigniola, meaning small countryside. This name comes from the fertile fields and land that populate the valley in which the town nestles: the Bellefontaine valley. Even today, Champigneulles is synonymous with nature and biodiversity.
With a surface area of almost 2,400 hectares, the town is covered by 1,664 hectares of forest. Equally rich in a diverse historical heritage, Champigneulles has kept nature at its heart.
Departing from the Parc du Château, this tour takes you on an exploration of the town of Champigneulles, taking in both the park's alleys and the town's bucolic streets and lanes, bearing witness to the meeting of history and nature.
