Jean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden ( called before Botanical Garden of Montet or the Jardin Botanique du Montet), is an authentic living museum of plants, gracing the outskirts of the Nancy urban area. Created in 1975, the gardens and conservatory have a dual scientific and cultural mission. Extending over 27 hectares, the garden grows over 12,000 plants from every continent giving visitors an idea of the extraordinary resources of the plant world.
A variety of collections allow visitors to familiarise themselves not only with the plants they find in their own gardens, but also with the native species of distant countries.
Lose yourself in the 2,500 m2 of tropical greenhouses with their giant water-lilies, orchids, banana, coffee and citrus trees, cacti, etc.
A visit to these lovely gardens fast turns into an exploration of all the wonders it has to offer.
A wide range of activities (botany courses, conferences, tours, exhibitions) are offered as part of the garden’s education mission.
